Enjoy Anna Larsson's tribute to Renée Fleming

We are happy to present a video clip of Anna Larsson from the Polar Prize Ceremony 2008, honouring Renee Fleming. Anna was chosen to open the Ceremony but unfortunately her wonderful, unique rendering of Dalila's most sensual aria - "Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix" was ommitted from the brief TV4 Classical telecast.
Therefore we are delighted that you are now able to feast your ears and eyes on her superb artistry, which brought tears to the eyes of the usually unmoved camera crew......

Anna Larsson in a new role at the Stockholm Royal Opera

The first production of Saint-Saens' most lusciuos lyrical work - "Samson et Dalilah", at Stockholm Royal Opera - for fifty years !

On Saturday 13th. September 2008, Saint-Saens' opera "Samson et Dalilah", will premire at the Royal Opera House, Stockholm, Sweden.

Photo: Carl Thorborg

Anna Larsson will assume the role of Dalilah, with Lars Cleveman and Richard Decker alternating in the role of Samson.

The production will be directed by Renaud Doucet.

Annas comments on the part of Dalilah :- " For me it's the obvious dream role! I have been waiting until now for this opportunity. It demands so much, both as an actress and a singer. In 2006 I sang the role in concert at Dalhalla, and enjoyed embodying this strong, wonderful woman. I don't know if it's a good thing but I have high hopes for Dalilah - and not surprising, as I have worked for fifteen years to create and develop this fascinating character."
